Adequate decision making based on real-time management information, attuned to the changes both within and outside the organisation. A utopia?
Not only does the growing quantity of data require instruments that can select the required control information both quicker and better. The constantly changing environment also demands constant harmonisation and re-adjustment of the organisation strategy. A changing strategy has consequences for measurement of (and for accountability regarding) company performance. Moreover, the performance of the different business processes (operational, financial, HRM, etc.) must continually be mutually attuned. Small wonder that the attention devoted to Corporate Performance Management and Business Intelligence is growing.
