From Benchmarking to Mashmarking - new perspectives on innovation

(Lees de Nederlandse versie van deze Face to Face)

It is undeniable: innovation is back on many organizations’ agenda. And that frequently takes some getting used to after years of rationalisation and cost savings. Now that optimising organizations by pruning the existing operational management has gone about as far as it can, it is again time for new paths, markets, services and products. Growth through innovation; is there a single organization that does not have this ambition?

It is high time to delve into a number of burning questions regarding innovation. Hans van Grieken, Koen Klokgieters and Ron Tolido - all of whom work on innovation by Capgemini every day - have a three-way conversation. What is business innovation anyway? Is the context of innovation today any different from that in the past? Why are so few organizations successful at innovating? What approach will increase your chance of success? And especially: how do you ensure that innovation really takes root long after the euphoria of the workshop has faded?
