Capgemini has a history in sponsoring a variety of well known events that correspond with the seven values proclaimed by Capgemini - team spirit, modesty, fun, trust, boldness, freedom and honesty. The events Capgemini sponsors, have to express in a certain way the values that Capgemini feels related to. Sponsoring is used by Capgemini for relationship management reasons and for reasons of charity. Capgemini supports environmental and development projects in different areas in the world and feels committed to helping our world be a better place to live in.

EuroSTAR

EuroSTAR is the main Testing event in Europe. It’s an annual conference where all the renowned companies that offer testing services in any way will present themselves to the testing professionals. Clients are also present in order to gain information on the latest offerings in testing and, off course to expand their networks in the testing world.

Capgemini has been a sponsor of EuroSTAR for 4 years now, the last three years as a platinum sponsor. EuroSTAR 2008 will be held from 10 to 13 November in The Hague. This year’s theme will be “The Future of Software Testing”. In the exhibition zone of the venue (The World Forum Convention  Centre) Capgemini will be present as a platinum sponsor again, together with all Testing service providers who will present themselves and their latest service offerings.

Testing is an important and growing industry, and for Capgemini one of the spearheads of our company. Capgemini not only wants to show the different service offerings we have in the field of testing. But we also support knowledge sharing, which we think is especially important in our still professionalizing trade. That is one of the reasons for being platinum sponsor of EuroSTAR. The event can be easily related to one of the main values of our company, namely solidarity. One of the main goals of the EuroSTAR event is to share information between testing professionals in a non-competitive environment, creating an atmosphere of solidarity.

Another value that Capgemini and its employees pursue in all their activities is fun! Having pleasure in the work they perform, and trying to find a good balance between being serious in their work on one hand, and fun on the other. Visitors of the Capgemini stand will be sure to have fun, as Capgemini will continue it’s tradition of unique games, all linked to testing and usually to one of the hosting countries traditions.
