Green Cargo selects Capgemini Sverige AB as IT-partner
Logistics company Green Cargo AB selects Capgemini Sverige AB (Capgemini) as its main supplier for IT-services.

It is a five-year agreement worth 230 million SEK. EDB will be Capgemini’s subcontractor for infrastructure services.
Capgemini has been a supplier to Green Cargo for many years but the new agreement means a strategic partnership where Capgemini will help as far as possible Green Cargo to lower their IT-costs. The agreement contains measurable parameters regarding pro-activity and cooperation which means that Capgemini will be measured on how they contribute to continuous improvements on Green Cargo’s IT-activities.
Part of the work for Capgemini is to help Green Cargo modernize their IT-systems by changing technical platform. Capgemini will also deliver application management, projects and infrastructure services. However, the infrastructure services will mainly be supplied by EDB Business Partner Sverige AB.
‘We searched the market to find the partner that best could live up to the criteria we have regarding pro-activity and cooperation. What is central in this agreement is to lower our IT costs. We see that Capgemini is the company that can cooperate and help us achieve this in the best way’, says Kerstin Stenberg, CIO at Green Cargo.
This five-year contract begins July 1 and it does not involve any transfer of staff between the parties.
